Baby's Nursery

So everyone keeps asking me what Brody's bedroom will look like. So here is what we are thinking. We bought the crib a couple weeks ago...still need a dresser and changing table.

A year ago from yesterday I was baptized. I have been reflecting alot on my life now compared to a year ago. I can honestly say that I have been much happier since the gospels been in my life. Everyone told me it wouldn't be easy, and they were right. Its funny how many people will try to influence you into not believing or will question everything about it. I have been having difficulty lately and even doubts about it all. I do know that its people trying to get the best of me and that I have to over come it all. Just like the quote above says faith is not to have a perfect knowledge of things. Lucky for me I am surrounded with people that have strong testimonies and that are great role models. I also have a very strong husband that will guide me to doing what I need to do. I am very grateful for everything that I have and have gained from being a member. I have truly been blesses and look forward to going spiritually.


Yesterday's Relief Society meeting was amazing. It really left me thinking about how I appear and what I am as a person. For the most part I am happy. I have a great son and husband. I do wish however that I was closer to my mom and sister. I really miss not having a strong relationship with them. I also wish I had closer friends whom I could just call and talk to. I would say it's mostly my fault for not putting myself out there and holding back. I will try to build the relationships that I want and find more time for my self to become a better person, to be a great wife, mother, and friend.

Father and Sons Camping Trip

This weekend Zaak and Kyren went camping with our ward. This was Ky's first time camping and he seemed to LOVE IT! They made a little video of the trip which we all enjoyed watching...and took a couple of photos. I was to happy to see Zaak and Ky bonding on their trip. I missed them both so much while they were away but was happy to know they had tons of fun.

Suns Game

On Wed night Zaak and I went to the Suns game. Its funny because Zaak always complains about he never wins anything. Well this game was different he caught a shirt! YAY! So here is a pic of Zaak and his new shirt.

Oh! Did I mention that he stood up looked at me and said "I'm gonna catch a shirt" and he did. I was pretty surprised!

Easter Weekend

It's always a little stressful come any sort of holiday...We have to split our day into 3-4 different ways! Between making sure we doing something as our little family and then both our parents and Ky's dad it gets pretty overwhelming! This Easter Ky was with his dad in the morning and he had a little egg hunt there then we had one in our apartment after that we went and hung out with my family at Freestone Park. They all played kick ball and football, and of course we had some yummy food. After that we went over to Zaak's family for dinner and another egg hunt. Over all Ky got like 4 Easter baskets!! Ya he's indeed very spoiled. It was a great day :)

~Update!~

So there are some big changes coming our way! First off we are moving to San Diego! Zaak is actually moving out there mid May for his job then we will all move out there once the baby is born. Its a big scary and exciting move. I will be sad tho because Zaak won't be around for about a month but its all for the better. I think this will be a great opportunity for our family. I'm looking forward to hanging out at the beach, going to Disneyland, and of course the Zoo. Also my old bff Hannah lives out there and we will get to hang out. I've always wanted to move and explore a new place. We plan on coming back sometime in Oct. I am also getting induced June 15th!! The reason behind that is so that Zaak can be here when Brody is born, so that's only 9 weeks away!!! I can't believe its that close. About a week after Brody is born we will all be under the sunny skies of Cali...I can't wait =)
